A small extension, with a dramatic sloped ceiling and south facing bi-fold doors, is being added at the back of a detached house in a rural setting in Co. Meath to create an enlarged kitchen/dining/living space with an improved connection to the garden. Along with the extension, the ground floor is being remodelled to include new bespoke fitted furniture to various rooms including the kitchen.
A substantial refurbishment and extension project in Blackrock has been completed in time for Christmas. Along with a new 2 storey extension to the rear and attic conversion, extensive sustainability measures were undertaken including external wall insulation, new triple gazed windows, a new decentralised ventilation system and an air to water heat pump.
The latest project to be completed is the refurbishment & extension of a 1930’s semi-d in Dublin 7. Externally, a new timber framed first floor extension is cantilevered over an existing single storey extension and provides a 3rd double bedroom for a young family. The unique form is determined by the lower eaves along the side of the existing house and the desire to complete the work without the need for Planning Permission.
